Circular economy(CE) has been gaining ground in Uganda. Uganda Environmental Act 2019 emphasizes the adoption of CE principles by any person that generates waste. This is in addition to National Sustainability and Green Growth Strategies. The private sector is also taking shape such as NGOs promoting CE, Financing of startups in CE workspace, Consultancy and Academia. Industries and SMEs are accepting the reality of the benefits that come with implementing CE. As an expert and consultant in the CE workspace, it is a good start seeing much interest from different sectors at National level, and regional and international collaborations for environmental, social & economic sustainability. CE is the way to go for sustainable development.
