Regenerative Agriculture

Whether we look at it from a human health, environmental, climate or financial perspective, food systems and agricultural production in Africa need to change.

Regenerative Agriculture Flag

Whether we look at it from a human health, environmental, climate or financial perspective, food systems and agricultural production in Africa need to change.  Much of the continent’s population is inadequately nourished; many environmental systems and processes are being pushed beyond safe boundaries by food production; and agriculture itself is a major driver of climate change.

Fixing these challenges will be one of the defining questions of the remainder of this century.   It means looking at food systems as a whole: not just the processes of growing, harvesting and processing, but also how we package, transport, market, consume and dispose of foods. It also means taking fresh eyes to the intelligent ecosystems of which we often forget we form an integral part.

Regenerative agriculture is, we believe, a fundamental part of the solution.
